Mom sent pictures of my babies from home!!
Praline, Snoop, Talia, and an unknown d’Anver greet you!

I went to the Ohio National
10,000 birds
Anyway my girl Talia got 2nd out of 11 pullets. I also got reserve of (blue quail) variety with either Praline or Snoop and first with the other. (The fact that I don’t remember which means I wish I got best of variety. the one that won was nice though). Queeny was also there, but she didn’t place.

One that was posing SUPER NICE but didn’t even place??? A lot of judges don’t know d’Anvers. She is nearly perfect, just needs a higher tail set

Also nice and didn’t do that well

They had all the APA colors except blue and white (do better, guys)
Plus the ABA colors of blue quail and buff columbian.

Congrats to your birds!!! I am jealous you got to go, it sounds like there were a lot of great birds to see—and buy! Champion Row looked super impressive!

My mom’s Ancona’s son made it to champion row. How, IDK, he hadn’t nearly enough white.

I saw that Ancona! He was very beautiful but definitely lacked white! The person sharing video of the Row made a comment about how excited she was to see an Ancona on Champion Row Sounds like your mom is doing some great things with her birds! You guys are just rocking the show circuit

Yeah, she doesn’t own Anconas anymore though. It was bred by Nick Pues but he bought his birds from her!

Queeny sure knows how to show off her perfection no matter the location! I do love Praline’s beard and muffs! She’s quite adorable!
