Crossing the Road
Ahh, my coop is secure against all predators thankfully. So sorry you lost all those babies! If you go in the coop at night they are in there. And I don’t think the chicks would eat each other.

Nice, a profit! The year's chicken financial report. Results are probably totally skewed, but I painstakingly took these records and feel they must be shared. Not sure if some of these numbers came to me in a dream or what, hopefully, they came from honest and faithful recordkeeping (people in my family won't always tell me what they buy or sell though, so that could throw things off.)

Congrats Amer!! That is super great!I showed at the Wisconsin State Fair and got champion showman.
I also got best of breed with Éowyn (she was the only one in condition) and I got champion for the quiz and third for communications.
I think I will get champion exhibitor this year.
I also got Champion medium goose and reserve Mediterranean (the Ancona was my mothers though.)
The flatness isn’t ideal but it also isn’t a big deal if you know what I mean. Type and color are much more important than combs. What you see now won’t be corrected the combs will just grow bigger.Okay @Amer in your experience, do these boys rose combs look like they will be acceptable? They’re still both cockerels but I’m still learning about this breed and while the SOP helps, I like visuals not drawings and words. Will the divot in the black ones comb correct with time? I’m assuming that isn’t what you want, but I think the self blue looked a lot like that at the same age and it’s filled in some. Rose combs develop weirdly!
Squeakers is now 6 months old and starting to look more rooster-like

Jack is only 4.5 months old so lots more time before they are truly ready to judge. Jack has a really nice stance, just couldn’t get a picture of it before he ran away. Haha. His girlfriend Rose is going to be really pretty too!
