They look like beautiful EE's to me. I have their twins, even down to the roo, who we call big Red.

Great birds!!!

Its possible a few could be mixed color ameraucanas, but they would still be called eaaster egger. If you look, some of them have small crests, so they are definatly not ameraucanas, might have some polish or something in them

Its quite alright, I'll just take one to my local feed store he sells a lot of chickens during the spring he may know what breed it is but I think I'll go with Easter Egger! I appreciate all the comments about my birds and the knowledge I've gained about how to tell them apart and all thank you! :)

I can almost guarantee your feed store guy will tell you they're ameraucana, but he's wrong, It's a common thing with feed store folks, they go by what the hatchery says and a hatchery would sell your birds as ameraucanas. But they're not. It gets quite confusing, just go with easter egger and enjoy the range of colored eggs you'll get!

ee. americanas have certin colors and patterns and i see none of them

I have 17 eggs now but my hens won't set them! Pesky birds haha. I am in serious need of an incubator! I'd hate for my eggs to go bad, so far I have them sitting under my geko's heat lamp. And his tank stays around 85 with a deceant humidity to the tank. I'd get a stronger wattage but I don't want to fry my lizard! Any suggestions?
