I have a chicken (almost 4 years old) that has had an injured foot and has been having to stay inside until I can finish her separate cage. I change her bedding twice a day but I noticed her eyes looked a tad bit different as if there's some cloudiness to it and first thing I thought of was the smell of ammonia possibly causing it. Obviously if it was too bad of a smell, I wouldn't be able to stand it in the house but have been turning on the bathroom fans as well when I change the bedding pad. If it is ammonia causing her eye to look a little different, what treatment do you suggest? Would using clear eyes eye drops for humans be okay to put a drop in each of her eyes?

Have you got any photos of it?
Also what was wrong with the foot?
Was it an obvious injury or something else?
Her foot started out as a minor case of bumblefoot and though it was a minor place compared to what I've seen on other people's chickens, she started to just lay around and didn't want to walk. So after I took the scab off, it finally healed but she still has refused to walk. I have no idea what's wrong. She tries to stand and then flops back down.

It's hard to see in the photos, I would be a bit surprised if it was the ammonia as I would have thought it would smell pretty bad if there was enough to cause problems.
Is she vaccinated for marak's?
Both the inability to walk, and changes to her eye sound a bit like possible symptoms of it.
