An Old Hen Learning New Tricks

Here is a picture of Brad in his favorite place, lol! He would let me carry him for hours if my arms would tolerate it. He’s 10 pounds of handsome brave good boy.
The second pic is of 40-pound Sara with her “dad”, my sister.

Sara is beautiful. Hope she will be around after Thanksgiving.
Sara was rescued from the feed store when my sister went to buy dog food and saw that one of the turkey chicks was being pecked to death by the other chicks. She called me because I had just received my chicks the day before, and asked if I could handle a turkey as well as chickens. I said yes, so she bought Sara and brought her to me.
Sara is well loved and will never find herself on the Thanksgiving table. She will live out her years, however many or few they may be, with me and my little flock of happy birdies.
She is also spoiled and has been on a diet, lol! She was 50 pounds and wasn’t walking very well, so I had to restrict her food intake. I was giving her far too many treats because she’s just so darn cute!!
Shes down to 38 pounds now and is much more happy and healthy :)
