Self sufficient chickens
Songster
I cannot say enough about this book. Micheal Pollen did such a great job convincing me of this critical point, yet he did not put pressure on the reader. He came from the viewpoint of a regular consumer who wanted to teach others about food. It was not just a research book because he went to Polyface Inc., bought his own CAFO cow, and hunted wild boar. In the end, he tied it all back to corn and provided realistic ways for people to solve the problem.
No person will regret reading this book and for many, it has and will better their lives and the planet.
I also recommend In Defence of Food. This talks about nutritionism
