What is the difference between the voices. One of my anconas has a loud raspy voice and the other a quiet almost hoarse voice

well the taller ancona and the one that will come to me first is louder and the short one doesnt quack much that I notice. But I did hear it one time and it sounded different thatn my pekin and the other ancona because those two are pretty loud. So I was thinking the smaller one was a boy and they other two firls. But someone told me the girls were smaller than the boys and someone else said the boys were smaller than the girls. So then I just didnt know

the smaller ones quack was kind of raspy sounding thats why I thought it was a boy. But its the small ancona

If the small one has a raspy voice that sounds like a boy to me. Plus males are quieter. He might grow some more or he might just be small. My husband is shorter then me! Nothing wrong with a male who's shorter! Lol! ;)

Well you guys today I'm doing a whole lot of nothing! My husband took my son to the fair and I'm outside with the ducks. Thought I'd post a picture of them in the pond :)
Winteree, I think we're due for some new pics of your ducklings! Bet there getting big!

right you are the baby's are 2 weeks old today here they are in the outside brooder they haven't had their first swimming lesson yet because my grams decided she didn't want to keep the sick rooster she gave me. He just so happens to be in the middle of the enclosure i made them and I'm scared to death to get them within 5ft of that bird. So I'm going to make their brooder into a tractor as soon as i can get the materials together. to support their pool.

and in other news my turkey eggs are set to go into lock down next Friday. I doubt anything will hatch but two of the eggs look promising.

Aww! They are big :) yay to turkey's! I wish we had room for turkey's and ducks, but we weren't able to get a house on any land :( one day....

oh believe me we don't have that much land we only sit on a half acre. We are just very careful with the space and hygiene of the birds we got it down to numbers

I would love even half an acre, but I try to remember before the houseing market tanked we didn't know if we would ever be able to own a home, so I should be happy that with no help we were able to buy a home. But still one day..... Good to have a goal!
