Ancona Ducks

HarriedHomemaker:
From left to right I'd say,
Either lightly marked lilac OR silver, depending on the color of that dark feather it is either a lilac or a silver (if feather is black its a silver, chocolate then its a lilac) -very pretty but heavily marked either way, can't tell much from photo but appears to be silver or solid white, and lastly black on right in background. To recap, #1lilac or silver, #2 lilac or silver, #3 silver or solid white, #4 black.

Hello everyone I need some help with my anconas!
Are these boys or girls they are 16 weeks and only the one has a curly tail so I no that on is a boy but the other two don't really quack its more raspy but they don't have the curly tail so idk wt they are anyone have an idea wt they might be?

The curly tail indicates a male as well as a raspy quack.
It is possible that you have all males and the other two simply haven't grown their curly feather yet. I've had some drakes that get them a few weeks later than some.
But a LOUD quack indicates a female :)
thanks i bet they are boys the one female that i do have was getting ridden by the two whiter ones but the far back on dont really quark are make much noise at all but i will see if i get curly tails or not!

Drakes don't always get the curly tail feathers. I have several that I've never seen a curl on but I know they are male from the quack. Since they are the only male in the pen & my eggs are all fertile I'm positive they are male even wirhout the curl.

Here's my 3 Juvies. The mostly white is a drake in molt. The other 2 are ducks. They are high black but they have coloring on their chests and have the green tint like cayugas do. Have 10 in the bator from 3 different places plus 12 eggs on the way. Hoping to get some good colors from them!!

I don't think they look like mutts. If you have an under colored male and over colored females you might have some good correction there. You can also end up with solid whites sometimes. Its just part of the genetics of this color pattern.

I was referring to selling the scovies (I know scovies can inter-breed but not sure if Anconas can?)

I like my Anconas :) they are really quite friendly too. The males name is Big Red. Haven't named the females yet!
