can people please post pics of there andalusians cuz i dont know much about them and i am getting one soon. and can you tell me what ther personality? like friendly mean broody etc

This is Merryweather. I do not have her anymore, she disappeared one day. She was sweet but flighty and flew VERY well, I had to keep her wing clipped. When she got board she picked everyones feathers so I had to keep her busy all the time. I liked her and I would love a small flock of them one day. You do need to be careful of the Roosters Combs if you live where it gets very cold as they are frostbitten easily.

They are so beautiful, but from what I hear, they almost have to be free range because they don't bear confinment well.

I have 4 Andalusian pullets, 15 weeks old. I really like them. Mine are very friendly. They are also very active, and they do fly well, higher and further than any of my other chickens. Mine free range.

They are very amusing birds, always into something. Here they are harassing the cat...

And here, just being pretty...

These are my 2 Blue Andalusians. They aren't mean at all and seem to be doing well in the run. They certainly are the "pigs" of the hen house - first in line for treats and try to follow me out the door for more!

ok thank you everyone! i have a 12 year old daughter who wants a chicken a pretty one so i might be getting her a blue andalusian. A couple more questions ae they friendly? how high would the fence have to be so they dont fly over? should we clip its wings?

Thank you to everyone who posted
