My rooster has been pretty pitiful for a couple weeks now. Noticed his comb was quite pale, but still eating and drinking fine. Doesn't have as much energy lately. No obvious clues as to what was going on initially, but then discovered a mite infestation. Everyone and everything has been treated and I think it is under control.

He is the only one that was showing physical signs of mites (weight loss, anemia, lack of energy). He has access to water with rooster booster as well as fresh water and crumble food. How long should it take him to bounce back? Or will he? Anything else I should try?

Do you have photos of him?

Have you dewormed him?

Are the mites gone completely?

What do you feed? I'd give him a little beef liver once daily, about 1tablespoon.

Which Rooster Booster are you giving - poultry cell, vitamins/electrolytes? If it's Poultry Cell, then direct oral dose him at 1cc per 3pounds of weight once daily for 3 days.

I’ll get some pics tomorrow. He is a mini rooster and probably under 3 lbs. still quite lethargic and very pale comb.

I haven’t seen any live mites on him. I have not wormed. Never done that and don’t know how.

He has access to the last bit of starter crumbles I have (which he prefers) and an all flock pellet. Yesterday I gave him a bit of leftover hamburger and he perked up a little bit but doesn’t seem to want any today.

I am using nutri drench mixed as directed on the bottle. Have not given it to him straight yet - he doesn’t seem that bad off but who knows.
