I am going to make a cocktail of 1/2 pedialyte 1/2 water, 1/2 tsp sugar and 1/2 serving of the baby parrot food.

I just got another 10ml of water and parrot food and antibiotic in her before she got away and plus I am alone and it is hard as she is now hissing at me when I come in the pen. She is limping badly and not walking around or standing at all. I have to get her energy first then I can focus on the leg...right now

I did the antibiotic before the food. I just wanted to get something in her. I know she in functioning as she pooed after I gave her the last 10ml of food. I never weighed her, I dont have a scale and the money I have spent already has really upset my better half. I get it, it is a duck. i guesstimated her weight at 4 lbs and am using that as the crop capacity - 10ml calc cam out around 90ml-10=80ml, so I am only giving 30 ml max per dose for now. I know she is a pig and that crop can hold more, and I will increase it if I can, just getting something in her is making me feel a little better.

So strong still...yet then she collapses afterwards. I realize that fighting nature is a strong instinct to overcome. The duck has no clue that she is dying. She's just too weak to care. She just lays there.

She is not standing anymore. Lethargic and sleeping a lot. I waited to long...yesterday she started eating and they messed it up and I should never have tried that and just started feeding her...what was I thinking.

Sorry, I am angry at myself. Plus no help is making this difficult. I will give her some more water in a few minutes and then feed her after with anti-biotics.

It’s not very often they will attack when you bring a friend in. Mine have never done that. How could you have known. Sometimes when we are healing we get worse before we get better.

Well, she has a fever. All this time and no fever and now she is hot. Thus the lethargy. I got some more antibiotic in her with that first little food. It has only been 30 minutes and her crop is empty. She pooed watery poop and is very hot. I am checking her temp every ten minutes manually and looking for changes. Ill try and get some more food and an ibuprofen down her next time, I think in 30 minutes I am going for 30ml of food and pain meds. I will put sugar in the mix as well like above.

I will do what I can, but I really think yesterday messed her up.
