Hi everyone. I was having trouble with my silly password, and was not able to get on for a couple days. Anyway..................... you guys are all right. I don't want to confuse the issue, I just want them to understand that these chickens are MY PETS, you and I know, regardless of their eggs. Although, we did mention that they lay wonderful eggs!
The Counsel seemed to like that, I mean, they never said a negative thing against it. I'm hoping to make this next meeting on this coming Tuesday. Hopefully with a small speech, I'll get through it just fine. Keep praying for me though, I still need that!
My good friend that teaches kindergarten whom I volunteer for said that her son who now lives in Maine, told her that everyone up there is getting their chicks, and are fighting to have them in their backyards as well. Made me feel better! Thats why all the hatcheries are out of them guys, EVERYONE wants some!
B - are there ordanances as to how many animals you can have in your county? I'm wondering how come they have an issue with having simple chickens (yes, even if they think they are livestock
vs pets) but they're okay with all the other animals you have?? Is presenting your chickens as "pets" going to come into play if they should ask how many pets you already have (your webpage: 12 hens, 3 rats,3 dogs, 16 cats, a fish tank, 1 opassum,3 ducks,1 parrot,1 pigon, eggs in the incubator,1 bunny,1 mongose,2 lizareds) - WHEW!
OMG! LOL!! I'd be freaking out with all those animals!
don't mention these other pets.. just stick to chickens..
and do not bring up the egg issue again.. you already mentioned it, enough said..
