All great. I like the sword the best though.

No, not a fan of Game of Thrones. You just draw really realistic people.
Aw thanks. I actually HATE drawing people... I like animals and nature much better. But after a couple years of life drawing classes and nude models I began to "appreciate" the human form... but still not my fav.
Inktober was a challenge... for real. Not only to produce a drawing every day, but also use a medium I wasn't too familiar with AND find subject material that was interesting to me that still somewhat followed the prompt word

and a few people just sort of got thrown in there... glad you like.

Your art is amazing, especially the realistic stuff. :th

And, no, I've officially given up. :lau
I feel like I can't remember how to do art anyways, so I'm going to stop doing it for a while and focus on more important things. :p

Yeah, I totally get it. Sometimes you just need a break and life takes over. Back when I had horses I was way too busy to even think about drawing. Then I got married and decided to go to graphic design school and make art my career, but after I had a baby I just didn't want to be away from home any longer. I think 5 years went by without drawing at all (except coloring with my daughter) before this Inktober thing came along... I have no idea why I just made all those drawings... haven't done any more since. OK--- there was actually Huevember right after that but I didn't get very far.

Your heart really has to be in it, in order to make nice art. You'll get there again...

Yeah, exactly.
It's a little disheartening, because I'd love to spend every day drawing. But, after spending hours staring at a blank canvas, realising how much time I've wasted, it feels like a better use of my time would be looking after my family and pets. That thought now completely destroys all motivation I have and replaces it with frustration, which makes art no fun, and then it turns out awful anyway. :hmm

I'm hoping this art block won't last five years for me, and that I'll get a sudden urge to make good art at some point. :lau

I'd love to turn my art into a career (or at least have it make a little money on the side), but I don't think I'm good enough for that. Not yet, anyway.

I agree 100%, your heart really does have to be in it or else it just doesn't have the same effect.

Oh I'm sure it won't take five years!!! (I'm just old and time goes by faster)

I totally second this. I've sat months trying to draw something perfect, so then I try and what I draw turns out deformed because of all the pressure I put on myself.
