1. Ovation Received=This number seems to represent comments I received and a point.
2. Unique Ovation=I don't know. It is less than the number of the above points.
3. Total Ovation= This number is not quite double the number of the Ovations received number above.
4. If I add Ovations Received number and Unique Ovation number it is less than Total Ovations.

I'm just wondering, not a real pressing issue, just keeps me wondering.....

Its kind of confusing to me too. I think you are suppose to start with ten free ovations or something.

chirpingcricket, here's a partial answer: not all ovations are the same. Ovations given by mods or Nifty are worth more than ovations given by regular chickens.
Unique is the actual number of times that people give you an ovation. Total includes the bonus for ovations from the super chickens.
There is a startup, IIRC 10 points, that everyone gets when they start participating.

Let me see, you start off with 10 points. Without a minimum of 10 points you cannot give ovations to anyone. The "unique ovations" are the amount of members who gave you ovations. So if 3 different people gave you 5 ovations in total, you will have 3 "unique" ovations and 5 "ovations received". The points given are a little more complicated. If Nifty or a staff member gives someone an ovation you get more than one point, since their ovations carry more weight. However, as you receive more ovations and your points total goes up your ovations given will also start carrying more weight. If you have 320 ovation points for example, your ovations given will add more than just point to the receiving member's total.
