It turned out to be surprisingly simple to fence off a little nursery for Momma and Babies:

It's nope complicated than this for me because mine can fly.

It's nope complicated than this for me because mine can fly.

Mine can »fly« too, that's how they get into the tomato plants, but they don't do that inside of the house. And they're clumsy flyers and don't ask about the touch-down…

My plan is to use T posts (dirt floor) and tie up 5 foot plastic poultry fencing. The holes are small enough for baby ducks I think. I could also line the bottom part with wood to keep them from trying to get through.

Nothing keeps tiny call ducks in but hardware cloth.
