Dusty was not on the nest this a.m., so maybe removing her last night did the trick. The rest of the day will tell.
Now, though, I know Dusty has the tendency and can add her to the list of my broodies, which include two Buff Orps out of my three (one hatchery stock and one Jody's), one Blue Orp/Buff Brahma cross (Suede's with Caroline), and one of my treasured PoufyHead sisters, Olivia (standard Cochin/Silkie x Barred Rock). My Delwares come from very broody stock as well, so I expect Kira to go broody this spring sometime as well.
