I promise it’s the last time I ask for a while!
I bought buff orpington hatching eggs, they are definitely mixed with something. They are 11 weeks old.
At 11wks they're pullets, after a year they're considered hens ... Same goes with the males, cockerels then roosters ... So I've read & corrected
The light colored "buffs" look to be pullets, love the colors. The speckled one also looks to be pullet, probably an EE mix (comb & leg color). I all their coloring
It looks like it’s definitely a hen. How to tell? The roosters by that age will start getting bright red comes, get bigger, start getting pretty colors, and start getting bent/curved tails.
