Let me know if you remember the name. Seems that it would be HIGHLY unusual for the Nobel committee to release a candidate's name, considering they only release the other candidates after 50 years have passed.

The United States did not win the Nobel Peace Prize, Obama did.

You've got to start somewhere, somehow. At least Obama is DOING something. In his first 2 weeks of office he was reaching out to a world Dubya HID from. Unless he was landing on an aircraft carrier, celebrating a victory that hadn't come. Or, raising the the terror threat level to make us all cower so he could play hero. And lets not even bring up the nonexistent WMD. For the sake of time and temerity I stop the list here.

Just Obama's willingness to acknowledge and face the problems our world is facing, searching for solutions that benefit everyone, earns him the NPP, IMO. (And this is just his first year as President.)

The bottom line is whatever you think of what Obama is doing, he HAS won the Nobel Peace Prize and all of the arguing and bickering and snide remarks don't change that.

Congratulations, PRESIDENT OBAMA!
