She's much worse today. She won't eat or drink, and stands very still. Her crop is still full, and she isn't passing anything.

I'm trying the Miconazole route, but it is extremely difficult when the hen won't cooperate. I have never been able to successfully able get a syringe down their throats..they fight like crazyDid you read the articles I posted links to?
Everyone makes it sound like a very simple process, where the chicken is still while you do this. That is never the case for me. They fight like crazy, and pull their heads away at the slightest touch. I have tried calming them, etc...but as soon as I touch their beak, they go bonkers.I've never done it.
This might help:

Or maybe @casportpony or @azygous can help?
Catch her and wrap her in a towel, gently but *firmly* hold her head still, then open her beak.Everyone makes it sound like a very simple process, where the chicken is still while you do this. Great pictures! I will try again...maybe take some photos of my own to show my complete and utter failure...Catch her and wrap her in a towel, gently but *firmly* hold her head still, thenView attachment 1996726 View attachment 1996727 View attachment 1996728 open her beak.
I think most people are afraid of hurting them, and that's why they have problems. Once you realize that restraining them does not hurt them you will be fine. One word of caution though, if her crop is full of liquid be very careful not to put pressure on it since that could cause her to regurgitate and aspirate some of the crop contents.Great pictures!
