Another Sunday Morning Breakfast - Pancakes w/ Recipe

I fixed pancakes too and sausage, lol! Boxed mix that I added vanilla flavoring and a can of blueberries to. Made them small like yours, a giant plateful, have 3 grown "kids" int he house this weekend, so they are all gone!!

Okay, you have done it again!! This is my new favorite pancake recipe. However, I did a few things different than listed. I made these before Cheryl posted so here is what I did:

2 cups fresh milled whole wheat flour (didn't have self rising)
I left out the sugar....figured we would get enough in the maple syrup
4 tsp baking powder (like I said...I didn't have the self rising stuff so I just added more BP)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cup milk
2 TBS vinegar to sour the milk
1/4 cup butter (melted)
2 large eggs (beaten)
2.5-3 tsp vanilla extract (I guess I just really like to put more vanilla in most every thing that calls for vanilla.

This recipe was an instant hit and worked well as both pancakes and waffles.

Thanks Angie!!

YUM!
How far are you from Va Beach? Maybe I'll pop by this summer when I'm out visiting my aunt and uncle. I'll take two pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, please!

Miss Prissy once again you're killing my lazy butt.
My wife just joked that we should go get 2 PopTarts, put them on a plate,
and post the pics. Drumstick is at my Mom's house who will make him a big
breakfast and then take him to church. Me & the Mrs are sitting here, drinking
coffee, feeling guilty for blowing off church, and watching Animal House on TV.

We are gonna make a red sauce with shrimp for Sunday dinner, some egg
noodles, some garlic bread, and a nice bottle of Ruffino Chianti.
Drumstick likes his red wine.

Well PC,
You could always be home with a sick kid like me. Glad you aren't. I just sent my DH and the two older kids off. I guess I have to come up with something for lunch though.

Well, the pancakes were a hit! Ours were blueberry as I picked lots last summer and froze them, so nice and fluffy. I didn't have yogurt or buttermilk, but I did have sour cream!!! I made my "self-rising" flour cause I use the stuff maybe once every 6 months and I HATE the moths that fly around when grains get too old! Great recipe, it is a keeper!

Priss, I had to try those and had them for lunch.

I had used all my buttermilk, so I substituted a combination of reconstituted nonfat dry milk, plain yogurt and half-n-half and it worked great! Those are some stick-to-your-ribs pancakes!

Question?
Prissy, after a breakfast like that no one in your household should have any further need of a meal today. What do you then do for an encore?

That bowl of high fiber cold ceral I had for breakfast was disgusting compared to yours. Mine looked like a bowl of bark, roots and stems with milk in it.

Can anyone describe what goat's milk taste like? I haven't tried to buy any--too chicken to as it is expensive here. They have the quart and then some in a can over here. Seems like the quart is over $3 and in the can it is $2. Seems awfully expensive.

Fresh goat milk good and cold, stored properly and milked in a clean milk house with very clean equipment tastes just like milk. Only thicker than store milk.
