Another Woodstove Question...

Beautiful wood stove you got there, Shellie! I love it! We found some stuff to clean and paint our wood stove at Home Depot. Maybe you can check them out too.

Awwe what a blessing for you and your family that's a beautiful stove, as for the paint we use a black stove paint for ours so does my inlaws, look for it at your hardware store and yes a soft wire brush will work great to scrub off the rust. Good luck and post a pic of the finished product for us.

We just installed a fireplace that was given to us, and when I called the insurance company, it was noted on our policy, but did not change our rates.

We insure with State Farm, and have a brand new (well, 13 month old) manufactured home, a double wide, which has built in fire supression systems and detectors, so that may be why our rates remained unchanged.

Good luck to you!! It's a fabulous woodstove. We have been heating solely with our fireplace so far, and they aren't nearly as efficient as a woodstove.
