Digging the deeper shading in this. Do you use blenders when you draw?

I actually don’t. I might occasionally use my finger, but not often. I transition from light to dark with pressure.

I was going to do an abstract-y pop art graffiti thing with this piece, but when I looked at it this morning after it had dried overnight, There was no way I could bring myself to cover up this. So I just dropped in a border to fix the unfinished edges where the paint didn't flow, and I'm calling it good.

The top half seriously reminds me of a microscopic view of some kind of tissue.
Anyway, it's all very pretty.

I get a stained agate feel from it too. Or the kinds of whorls and straitions you see in slices of malachite (just not green obviously)
