How do you all recommend drawing people? I can never get positions right...

It is tricky. I usually need a reference photo or drawing. I‘ll then fill in shapes, and add the details afterwards.
I could attempt a step by step demonstration later if you’d like.

Use a reference and draw blobs where each of the limbs/general parts should be.
Then get more detailed, getting the outlines. Then more details, then shading.

I like to use https://quickposes.com/en if I'm just practicing general people drawings (you can set a bunch of different stuff but the idea is to get you to draw quickly so it's less stiff and such if that makes sense). If I'm going for something specific I'll look for a couple different references for something close or take a pic of myself doing what I'd like and use that too

Practice and tears.
Search up some references (I recommend SenshiStock/AdorkaStock and Taco1704 for people!) and practice drawing from them.
Once you've got your rough proportions down (remember, everything can be measured by something else!), you can try for perspective (I recommend Sycra and DrawABox).
Don't try too hard to "find a style", just keep practicing and it'll come to you.
