Hey to all you Americans, don't spose there are any other Brits around, I feel like I'm the only one!!

Well, yes and no. I am the daughter of a British WWII "war bride" (that's what I used to tease him with). He was in the Royal Navy, on an American lend lease ship, and met my mom in Boston when it was getting serviced. He came over after the war with all the female war brides. He was from Frome, Summerset.
I have some British habits - I drink my tea with milk, love to garden, and drive like a maniac (I learned that was a British trait when I visited family there!)
