Any Bunny Owners?

keep a close eye on her bum. She could get all stopped up (pasty-butt) with that clumping litter.

This is my daughter's bunny Baxter. She got him from the hardware store where she works. When she got him he was a dark chocolate brown all over, however after a couple of weeks he got a light colored patch on his back. Now the only thing that is dark is his tail, ears, and face. We used to raise rabbits and we never had one that changed colors. This is the most spoiled bunny I have ever seen. He loves to be scratched on his cheeks. He gets on my daughter's bed with her and runs around. He likes to explore her room (supervised of course). She keeps him in her room in his cage and he uses a litter box. We don't know what kind of rabbit he is, but he is a lot of fun.

I have a dwarf rabbit that has really outgrown the dwarf stage do not know truely what kind she is, she got out of her cage one day we thought she was a goner with all the dogs we have but she defends herslf well and so she is a house rabbit now, potty trained herself and lives in the kids playroom, you do have to greet her properly when you enter her room or she stomps her foot at you.

I am so excited to see that there are so many bunny owners on here! I don't feel so panicked now. *ha* My biggest worry is that he is alone. I try to spend time with him everyday, but I still worry that he will get lonely.

What about this winter? Do I need to bring him inside?

Also, I take him out to walk him, but I would like for him to have a safe run area (outside of his hutch) to play in when I'm not there. We just moved into town, and there are lots of neighbor cats. Any suggestions?

Years ago I had a couple of bunnies. A grey and white Dutch Bunny, and a very nice light tan Rex type.

Now the only Bunny I have is this one I got from my husband for Mother's Day this year.

He took me to a local Tea Room for lunch. When the waitress came to ask if we would like dessert,
He said, "Yes, for dessert I would like a big piece of meat!" (The menu there is not very "masculine"

My husband says " If I am not good, this is where I will end up when I die!"

But, he knows I LOVE going to this Tea Room, so when he is feeling "romantic" he takes me there.

All my bunnies live outside in their own cages. Rabbits tend to fight if put together. Just my expereince. They stay outside all year round in a shed if it gets to cold I use brooder lights above their cages to keep them warm. Depending on how cold and harsh your winters are would deterime weither you should bring your bunny in doors for the winter. Also do you have a garage or shed you can move your cage too. For several years before I got my rabbit shed my chickens lived (inside their cages) in my chicken run under the eves of to buildings and we just mad a makesift roof between the 2 buildings. HTH. Good luck with your bunny.

I had bunnies as a kid. Everyone's bunnies are so cute. I love Lurkey's bunny w/all the spots.

A friend of mine has lots of bunnies. She has a really amazing pen for them outside. She keeps trying to get me to take come, but Doxies love bunnies...in all the wrong ways.

I just feed the cottontails in the winter so they dont eat my plants and the Doxies chase them the rest of the time.
