I say male..Way to young to know for certain, but I am a little unsure with that comb. Wren is supposed be a female but sexing isn’t 100% so was just wondering your thoughts

I hope you’re right, this makes me feel I little better.Looks a lot like my three pullets at that age. Too young IMO to say, really. This was my first one at a week old. Was 100% dark feathering throughout.

And two more we added this spring at about 3 weeks old (not the best Pic, but gives an idea of their coloring): These had a tiny bit more white on them, but also confirmed pullets.

Awww, thanks! They are one of the sweetest breeds I have. I got one last year as a surprise chick and love her so much I added two more this year. Hope your little one turns out to be a gal that you can keep and enjoy! Also you’re chickens are beautiful.
I am leaning towards cockerel alot now. "His" waddle is getting bigger and is pretty red and i yhink i see the maroon coloring but am not sure since ive never raised any partridge breeds. also sorry the 4th picture is really blurry i got pecked in the eye when taking it. they are 9 weeks old.Do you have updated pictures? I'm not sure the exact time, but it gradually developed it seemed, at least with my Partridge Brahma cockerel
He looks like he's getting it in as of now! The pin feathers look to be the maroon you mentioned! Sometimes it takes a bitI am leaning towards cockerel alot now.
