Any chances for a female in this group?

Male is a barred rock
Females are bsl, red sex link and a bsl/barred rock mix.

The rooster has been giving me cockerels all summer >.>

Seems to me I read that with chickens the sex of offspring is determined by the mother. Genetics always makes my head hurt, though. Anyway, check it out before you start thinking about a rooster reboot. :lau

The smaller spot indicates that this chick has only one copy of barring. Females can only have one copy, males can have one or two.
Im... I'm just gonna nod a pretend I understand that lol. Barred Gene's just confuse me. I understand that females that produce offspring with non barred, if theres a spot it's a male. And male barred will only produce barred.

Yup. And if a female barred mates with a Male barred then the offspring will have two different looking head dots.

The males will have a less defined, typically larger and splotchy spot.
The females will have a small, crisp and clean spot.
Ah okay. So hence why the second is the one you think is female
