I beat BotW yesterday (by accident). And kept playing a bit today because the not finding the last great fairy was driving me crazy. I don’t know if I’m going to do the DLC or not. I know for sure I’m going to take a break from Zelda before doing TotK. I’m not ready to start from scratch again. I wish more than just horses would carry over between the games.

Totk is massive compared to botw. I get why you don't want to "start over" right away tho. And with how huge totk is it might be best to break in between so you don't get overwhelmed. If you still haven't found the last great fairy try talking to people at stables as they may have info on where she might be. This same idea carries over into totk so it's best you familiarize yourself with it now. However totk is a lot more clear as to what and where to go where I felt botw was severely lacking

Never played paper Mario but one of the games I remember honestly being most fond of despite how short it was was Yoshi's Story.

I ended up getting the DLC for BofW. The Trials of the Sword are evil. I beat the beginning and middle trials but I don’t see how I can beat the lynel at the end.

I think the way I did that was we saved an ancient arrow just for the Lynel.
