Any Halloween Hatch-A-Longers?

I really want to do this, but I need a better bator first. Maybe I'll sneak out tonight and splurge on one.

I have a few more eggs from my Frizzled Serama that I am setting this evening that should hatch around Halloween. Last time all her eggs quit so I hope they hang in there this time! She had been broody for a long time without chicks when I got her but she should be well nourished by now... we'll see!

I had nine silkie eggs go in today. None from my red sex link because of course as soon as I wanted her eggs, she went into molt

Day 7... I candled my eggies... I just have 4 that are scheduled for Halloween hatch.. and they all look good! I hope they hang in there! The last time I incubated eggs from this hen, they all quit after day 10. She had been broody for a long time before I got her so maybe that was why. One of her eggs has made it to day 14 so I have hope for this set of 4!!

I have six silkie eggs coming along, all looking good! Three never started, but six out of nine for shipped eggs? I'll take it, especially since I only paid for six

I have 13 eggs due to hatch the weekend of 10/31! Fingers crossed they all make it!

Lock down tomorrow? I may wait an extra day because my air cells are really small : ( I only have 3 left to hatch on Friday, sadly I dropped one, but more due the next week. I started writing the hatch day on the eggs so I can keep track!

Sorry I'm late to the game I have 38 eggs due the day after Halloween! Serama, buff Orpington, bantam polish, glw, oeg, and 4 mix breed banties. I'm on lockdown today!

I have 2 I locked down today! Day 18! 2 more going into lockdown tomorrow.

They were all wiggling yesterday. Is it normal for the wiggling to stop once they are locked down? Guessing they got into position and are now prepping for their big day.
