Any Home Bakers Here?

Thanks. Now that I have the file on my computer....can I change it to
jpg? Since Penny already posted it...I will look forward to doing jpg
next time. Thanks again. I am learning more on how to bake and
use this computer. Ron what I post are photos from the camera.
How do I convert to jpg? That probably has been my problem posting. EEK. Regards, Aria
How nice of a camera is this? Point and shoot or Professional grade? If professional grade, any chance you've got it set to shoot in RAW? That would mess with just about any website.

@Auroradream26 we like the peanut butter cookies too, but I put mini peanut butter cups on top. Mmm, p-nut butter & chocolate on top of p-nut butter :drool

I finally got most the gingerbread cookies done (ugh, my decorating leaves a lot to be desired :hmm), the mocha pinwheels and the coconut shortbread. I planned on making 2-layer fudge and pumpkin bread (mom's favorite) but we might have a change in plans...the weather is supposed to turn nasty so might not be able to get to my brother's house after all. Hate to make more stuff just to have it sit around here. We'll know more by tomorrow :(
:fl

I made some peanut butter cookies today but ran out of energy before I managed to get to the chocolate chip. I'll have to do them tomorrow, and maybe some more peanut butter (with Hershey's Special dark kisses on top!)

I got the very last of the Christmas presents wrapped this morning and the two pillows finished to go with the quilt my mom and I made for my dad for Christmas. I think we're finally done!
Oh, that sounds like a wonderful gift for your dad, made with lots of TLC, I'm sure. :love Do you have a pic of the quilt w/pillows? Would love to see it!

This is from before we stitched it together. I think we rearranged the rows a little too. It has a blue/black plaid flannel backing and thin, polyester batting inside. I'll take a picture of the pillows here in a little bit since I have them here (quilt is at my mom's house). I'm making cookies at the moment lol

I only have one or two more kinds of goodies to make, then on to planning Christmas dinner (I know, I'm way behind in that dept.). Hubs always wants turkey for both T-day and Christmas, while I prefer something different on Christmas, like maybe a succulent roast or something. What do you guys like to eat for Christmas dinner?
Ham!
Egg Nog cookies in the fridge, chocolate chip going into the oven now.
I did think about trying those, may have to wait until next year.

My coconut shortbread cookies are finished and so are half of the mocha pinwheels. Still have the gingerbread men dough in the fridge but I have to take Opie (one of my cats) to the vet for an annual check up this afternoon...gingerbread might have to wait until tomorrow.

@rjohns39 I found a new recipe where they use oatmeal cookies and add a filling between 2 of them to end up with something like the Lil Debbie oatmeal pies. If I have time, I'm going to try that recipe (oatmeal pies are so good).
I have decided to quit trying copycat recipes, they never turn out. :(. I have tried iced oatmeal cookies, little Debbie's oatmeal cream pies, fudge striped etc.

How did the sugar cookies turn out? I agree it's hard not to eat all the dough lol. We usualy add an extra coop or two of flour and it rolls out so nicely :)

I finally have a day tomorrow with no crazy plans and nothing really going on with the kids so I'll be making peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip.
They were great! I had my 6 year old cousin here to help me decorate.

Your dad is going to love his quilt! I take it he was just a teeny, tiny bit into bikes? :D

Since we aren't sure about the weather letting us leave town on Saturday, I've decided to try a new dinner roll recipe today instead of more Christmas treats.

I'll share how they turn out (if they turn out, lol). I made a big pot of ham & potato soup yesterday and rolls will go good with soup for dinner.

So, I've gotten up, showered, fed all the animals (inside & out), took the garbage to the road, did some dishes, and just got the baguette dough started for me & my son's French onion soup project. All this while he's still downstairs sleeping! This meal is his idea, and he's supposed to be helping me today, haha. It's okay, I'll let him make it up to me by slicing all the onions - lol. :lau
