Any Home Bakers Here?

Well, Tomorrow's dinner is in two crock pots... I made @igorsMistress green sauce and put it in one pot to simmer for the next 3 or so hours.... and made carnitas in the other crock pot... the 7 1/2 pound shoulder will slow cook overnight... Tomorrow we'll pull the pork and make enchiladas. I haven't been able to cook since taking the factory job, so today was really fun... Tomorrow I'll make roasted salsa verda and pico to accompany the enchiladas. I may have hosed up the green sauce recipe and might have to add a couple avocados to cool it down... The recipe called for 2T, which in my world means two table spoons, of chili powder. Of course, I use Penzy's HOT chili powder so it might be too hot for the grand baby... But if it is, then avocados to the rescue.

I hope you enjoy! I have to be careful with anything hot, the rest of the family have tender pallets.

I am baking a pie called summer pie. It is strawberry peach. I hat a lot of resting times so would not be done until late tonight. I started the pie dough and will wait until morning to do the rest of the pie

Mmmmmm :drool

Ok, so here's the game plan...we start at Bob's house for dinner and proceed to Ron's house for dessert!

I am hungry for Lemon Bars. So bad so, that I bought a box mix! I have never made lemon bars from scratch. My mom always made them, and DH doesn't really like them.
The big question is: do I make the basic lemon bars or use the extra special version on the box that adds a layer of cream cheese.

I've never had lemon bars with cream cheese in them, but that sounds good!
