Any Home Bakers Here?

Here's a question to you all...

If you had to choose between a food processor and a blender, which would you choose?

Also, any particular brand of either one you would recommend?

Thanks!
I am fairly good with a knife so I do not use the food processor much. I actually use my stick blender more often then the blender...and it comes with a mini food processor!

Is that cheating?:lau

I think it is a kitchen-aid - but I will check when I get home. I also use it to make pie crusts - it has a plastic blade for making dough and works really good for pie crust. Pulse for mixing the dry ingredients and shortening - pulse a few more times when adding the water - voila, done!
I have a smaller kitchenaid food processor. It is a good one!

Not cheating at all!

I do have a mini (very mini) processor but don't like it much. It's hard to put together and will only handle about 1 cup max of ingredients. The only reason I still have it is because I don't have a larger processor.

@Aria What do you use your blender for?
I will admit, I only use mine to make smoothies and milk shakes.
I use my blender: Smoothies, and I make for my tea: whole lemon cut small pieces (skin and all)peeled ginger root, and lemon.
I use it for all I have to GRIND. And you can make light weight
batters, Pesto, etc. My processor: I did make bread dough years ago. It is resting on a shelf NOW. Do not use. Do not like for pie
crust. A BEAR to clean. Too many parts. Aria

Yes. It was here when I moved in.
I too am wondering about a bigger food processor. I can’t figure out if a blender will work for me.

Sounds like we're in the same boat BC. I've gone cross-eyed trying to compare different brands and reading reviews.

Maybe you should figure it out and tell me which one to get
