Well, I'm entering a chili contest on the 29th. It's at my church's Halloween party. I'm still trying to find a good chili recipe.

My husband just took 1st place with his chili at his work Chili Cook-off. It is supposed to be a 5-Alarm Chili, but he knocked alot of the heat out of it by using a milder chili pepper, and he still took 1st, lol. His is different than most because it is a Tex-Mex style plus he grills 3 types of meat and the tomatoes and onions before adding them to the chili. Most chili around here is ground beef, so the chunks of meat are a nice surprise.

@ValerieJ, thanks for the compliment! It was actually pretty easy to do. I possess a unique talent where I can pick up literally almost any instrument and be able to play it within a few days. The clarinet, the Ocarina, and ukulele I taught myself. The piano was lessons a long time ago. However, I had my computer play the piano part.

By the way, what is your profile picture? Is it the queen of hearts?

By the way, to everyone else, I have an old friend who's chili was always a winner. I'm going to see if he can get me his recipe. If I do get it, I'll use it in the contest.

It is the queen of hearts, my costume for Halloween month. I bought a series of paintings from a local artist depicting some of the characters in Alice and this is one of the paintings. Alice in Wonderland is my favorite childhood story.
