Here are the muffins, next weekend I'm going to try the longer rise version. Question, Ron do you have the KA proofer?

I have the one they sell. It might have come from Amazon though. I was a present from the DW.

I also have the stacking kit.

I used the proofer today when I made sandwich bread
 
You should dump out half and add flour and warm milk every 12 hours.

Keep going unless the dough turns pink. If so, try again using the breadtopia start recipe

oh warm milk! That explains why a little sugar perked it up! I've been using water. Sheesh I'd better find the instructions, maybe they said milk. Well it's been fun having a bowl to look in anyhow :).

Milk is only one recipe. Plain water is more common. If you are really having trouble, be sure you’re not using hard or soft water.
