Any Home Bakers Here?

So true! So far I've made them twice and we ate them all.
How do you like them BC? We had breakfast sandwiches but I like them with butter and a little honey or real maple syrup too.
The first time I made them, it made six. I knew better than to let it sit, but the pan wasn’t hot enough yet. The sd expanded in the bowl too much. The dog was happy for the extras! I did it again yesterday, and it made four perfect crumpets. :thumbsup
I have not tried them plain, only as a sandwich. The dog says they are okay plain though.

Good morning bakers headed to the shower spent most morning with our internet company
did not make the payment ended the call when they wanted to full payment and the credit will be given later.. We are not poor, not the point.. We would need to pay 137 not minus 21 ?
Okay bye

I was just looking at the KA site for something to bake with my grandsons and saw a recipe there for crackers. They want to make the pretzels though so we're going to try that first. I also saw a biscuit recipe there I'd like to try.
That happens all the time on that site!

We were going to change our internet because Hughes is slow and expensive. DH signed up up and they said the tech would be there Mon morning w/ router for set-up.
No show on Monday - DH spent 4 1/2 hours on hold to talk to someone and get it rescheduled for Wednesday.
No-show on Wednesday either - rescheduled for Friday with excuse that Monday the tech was there at the house and switched the wires, but forgot to leave the router. Excuse me? the "box" is right outside the window where DH has set up his work-from-home office. With 2 large dogs outside in a fenced yard, he would have known if anyone set foot near the house.
Guess what, no show on Friday either.
DH called in to reschedule - Internet people "we can get someone there on May 12th." Why the long wait? "We have other customers that have signed up for installation and it wouldn't be right to push them back just so we can do your installation." But I ordered your service before they did and you guys are the ones who screwed up and missed 3 appointments. "sorry sir, but they have appointments and it would not be fair to change their appointments to try to fit you in."
DH cancelled the order and they need to refund the $250 he had already paid.

Corona virus is not an excuse for this!

I've started just pouring the whole thing in my cast iron skillet and making one giant "crumpet?" . I no sooner take my first bite and my dogs magically appear at my feet waiting for their share. :drool Made the mistake of drizzling a bit of honey on it while it was still warm...OMG soooo good! The dogs don't get the honey. They would no longer be willing to share.😆

I’ve had similar issues with internet installment and repairs. No shows, claiming they showed up...
Recently, I was without Internet for about a week. After three days, we didn’t have any more storms or strong wins, so I spent two days trying to get a hold of Verizon. I finally got an appointment, and no show. I went through hoops, and a guy contacted me that he already knew what was wrong. There’s a wire that is constantly breaking. They know it, but won’t fix it for good, or at least keep an eye on it. I had to wait another day for it to be fixed. Then... it broke the next day. They fixed it again before I got through. It’s been okay for a whole 23 hours. I think they owe me at least a free month for the week it was out, the time I spent on hold via phone and chat, and the patience I showed when calling about the missed appointment.

I thought about making one big one. Since you’ve done it too, perhaps I will since I won’t feel so lazy doing it.
