Any Home Bakers Here?

No idea what that is, will have to go google
I cannot even imagine that lol. Are we talking like pepperoni sort of sausage? When you say biscuit is that like your scone kind of biscuits?

Huh the world is a very big place. Runzas are an old German meal, very popular still here in the middle of America. They are loafs of bread with meat and cabbage baked, I also usually add cheese inside. I make them for my husband during planting and harvest season because they are wonderfully convenient. I make them up in huge batches and then wrap them individually and freeze them. He can take as many as he wants and eat them when he gets a minute.

That actually sounds quite interesting. Been trying to find snacks for kids recess that I can bake that are a little healthier and they sound like they might be okay. I like to have stuff they can just grab and take when we are in a rush but don't Want to have them eating cake and chocolate biscuits every day.

Anybody got any tried and true lunch box baking that fits into that catagory?

My best buddy and I went down the rabbit hole last night, and found what many, many people claim to be the best chocolate babka in NY.
I ordered 1 for each of us. That should give me something to reminisce about, and maybe something to shoot for.

Are you still going to try making one?

Those sound like cabbage biscuits. I've never heard the term Runzas but where I grew up in the Midwest, there was a large German population and they used to serve cabbage biscuits at their annual festival.

They looked sort of like this but were square shaped:

Gravy poured over them was optional.

Sounds like the same thing only different name. I am from Nebraska here and we always have called them Runzas. They are shaped like a square or rectangle and I have never had or seen them with gravy. This is from our fast food chain, I know it is only in NE.
