Any Home Bakers Here?

Thanks, I will try again today in my microwave rice cooker. I bought something like 10 lbs of it on line and am so disappointed to have it just sitting there.

I cook my rice in the microwave. I put it in for eight minutes. I use 1 cup rice to 2 cups of water. When it finishes in the microwave, I stir and taste it. If it is still el dente I cook it for a couple more minutes. Usually it comes out perfect.

Thanks, I am at a very low altitude. My ling-grain brown rice cooks beautifully in 30 minutes in my microwave rice cooker, but the short grain is much tougher. Requires more water to rice ratio and about 45 minutes. Don't use white rice.

Edit: oops, make that LONG-grain, not ling-grain. Somebody keeps switching the I and the O on my keyboard. When I find out who's doing it, I'm going to make them wash windows! :mad:

Made pizzas again today, so tried a cheese garlic bread to go with them too. I part cooked it first because I needed the pizza stone for the pizzas.. So it was a little more brown on top when I cooked it more and served it out.

Looks good! DH and I always tussle over who gets the well done cheese :D

I'm at a low altitude here in Florida. I live just an hour from the Atlantic Coast.

you really have to laugh when typos like that happen! They can be quite funny sometimes.
