Any Home Bakers Here?

I have a chicken egg question that has to do with baking.

My girls' eggs seem to have a very thin or fragile membrane around the yolk. When I crack the egg, the yolk almost always breaks (4 out 5). Even sitting in the bowl, the membrane will sometimes break.

I have a lot of recipes that call for eggs to be separated. Am I doomed to always have to buy eggs for those recipes?

The chickens are 10 months old. I feed an all flock 20% protein pellet. This has been going on ever since they started laying. Help? Advice? Anyone else have this issue?
Switch to layer feed for the hens. It is likely that they are not getting the correct amount of nutrients from the all flock.

It might also help to give them a layer booster vitamin and free choice calcium too.

Lots of controversy about layer feed and roosters. That is not a issue if you have all hens though

I do have a cockerel. That's why I picked All Flock. I like the 20% so that I can also give them treats like mealworms, BOSS, melon guts/seeds, and snips of greens.

I have oyster shell on the side, and crushed up egg shells. They seem to prefer the egg shells.

I don't think I'm shaking up the eggs.... hmmm.
I would use the egg booster then.

Also, calf mana might help with the eggs.

Is "egg booster" type/grade/designation of feed? I haven't seen anything called that at the TSC where I shop. But I was never looking for that either...

I'm assuming calf mana is calf feed. If I can get a small bag, I might try it. But I bet anything for cows isn't sold in small sized bags...?

Thanks!

TSC sells the druvet brand of egg booster. It goes into their water.

Calf Mana is a supplement for a lot of different farm animals. Feeding instructions for poultry is on the bag.

Both will help correct the nutrition for the hens and added with free choice oyster shell calcium, fiixes a lot of egg issues

Mug cake anyone?
