Will post update tomorrow, hope it turns out.Mmm sounds good!!
OMG your GB house is awesome…been struggling with mine today and so, so am quite jealous. For a first attempt - boy, you gotta give classes.![]()
Had a lot of problems with construction today, I think my Royal Icing was too dry, but fudged it and so far it has not fallen down after the first try.. My Gum Paste chickens aren't so cute. But even with frustrations, it is so much fun to do. Still have a few tricks up my sleeves to rescue the project![]()

I never tried Swiss Chard - have grown it for the flock, but excited to try it.I hope it turns out my husband loves chicken and rice and add swiss he might kill over lol
I was not patronizing…honestly, your entry is fantastic. You got talent gal, so gloat for awhile. You're so nice to say those things![]()
I think my icing was too dry for making the icicles but of course, that didn't really dawn on me until I'd fought with them for way too long. I was going to add gingerbread chicken cookies too but my cutter is way too big...would have looked like Godzilla was trying to fit in a toy coop. So, we're eating them instead, lol. Learned today that goats think gingerbread cookies are A-ok!
Seriously, I'm really looking forward to seeing your gingerbread @sunflour . I know it's going to be wonderful.
Gonna try a new recipe in my new Dutch Oven…not baking, but still a cooking thing:
One-Pot Chicken and Rice with Swiss Chard
