OK Question.

Like I said the other day people can get weird about chicken eggs. I am gunna get weird just real quick.

Royal Frosting ...

How long at room temp. is Royal Frosting good.
Also I have 2 pregnant daughters and 4 yr old Grand daughter who will make the rounds here for Christmas, should I try another frosting or will the egg whites be ok?

I am sure at some point in my life I have probably eaten royal icing on something or other but I have never made it myself and want to try the gingerbread coop. Store bought just wont due as glue. and my moms Butter cream will not due for glue.

I use a Wilton product -Meringue Powder - an egg white substitute - the stuff lasts for years and doesn't waste those precious freshly laid eggs. It is great cement and decoration use of GB houses, I have tasted it ( quite good) but would not recommend eating a lot of it.

I got to thinking about the Royal Icing question...DH and I don't plan on eating the gingerbread coop, I just used the RI for "cement". If you want a good frosting for cookies that isn't as soft as buttercream, there's a recipe I posted last year for a cookie glaze. It goes on soft like regular frosting but dries firm...it's a lot like the frostings you get on bakery cookies.

Dont know, the just hit hard and i am feeling very nauseous. If it gets worse i'll call my husband he is at work mmm if he comes home he loses some pay.

Better for him to lose some pay than for you to deliver by yourself at home. Maybe it's not that but please error on the side of caution, call him if you need to and don't wait for him to get off work.

Don't wait too long. My mother was thinking the same thing you are, and almost had my younger brother in the car. The second baby is usually faster then the first. I had Thing 2 in 45 minutes.

AGREE!
second and third babies come faster and ALL of them like it to be most inconvient!
At least give DH a heads up. can someone come be with you just in case?
