Any Home Bakers Here?

Of course!

I figure if I turn on the stove, it counts. If I'm in the kitchen, it counts. If I think about baking/cooking, it counts. :lau

I don't do much baking since I went GF. DH won't eat the GF stuff I make. He's tried one or two things, didn't care for them, and therefore anything I bake is either for him or for me.

Maybe I'll be able to get him to try the GF chocolate chip cookies when I try that recipe out...?

My Youngest DD does not like jalapenos. She loves serrano's and habaneros though
Doesn't like the "wimpy" hot peppers I guess.

Baked beans should count, they go in the oven right?
Uh oh. That means the English muffins I made Tuesday don't count!!!
I did make a loaf of KA basic sourdough last night.

Anyone know how to can jalapeno's and make them taste like the ones you get from Popeyes? I've been trying to figure it out for years. I've had some really horrible fails and some pretty good fails, but all fails non-the-less.
I have no idea what Popeyes taste like but do know that if you use my Hot Sweet Pickle recipe with only jalapenos that they come out very good. I sliced the jalapenos into rounds and used the brine from that recipe to pickle them.

I started before I was a teenager.
I actually did too but not regular meals in the rotation.

I was about 12 when I started baking bread.

My Mom wanted her sons to be self sufficient. An Uncle of mine nearly starved when my Grandma went on vacation so we learned some sewing, cooking, laundry and etc. from an early age.

It worked! All three of us are very self sufficient LOL!
