She was egg bound for ~4 days. She laid the first egg, which had a very thin shell, 2 days ago, and never improved. From what I can gather she had at least one other egg behind it that broke and got a bacterial infection from it.

I don't know hat makes an item gluten free.

Tell me what it does or does need to be GF.

Gluten is a protein in wheat, barley, and rye. So if any of those are in a recipe, it will have gluten in it.

I had not heard about the soy/wheat link... interesting!

I used the tangzhong technique to get a longer shelf life. We'll see how it goes!

When I was about 16 my older sister and her DH bought a house with a pool table in the basement. Then they moved and my folks bought the house, oh joy! Mom used to accuse me of wasting time practicing shooting pool. Being a bit of a smart-mouth, I haughtily told her I wasn't "shooting pool!" I was studying Applied Physics. You know. Angles of Incidence and Reciprocal Action. She left me alone after that. Nice table, Jared. I'm officially jealous!
