Any Home Bakers Here?

Hey, @Jared, don't go out of your way. I just meant if you do happen to bake something today, think of me. 😉

It’s OK. I need to bake a lot this week anyway because my folks are in Mexico on a trip.

I was just saying that I can share some simple recipes with you that might be easy for you to make in your condition.

Outside today building a chicken coop and found a little… former friend in my shed.

When I discard starter I always put it down the drain with lots of water. If that stuff dries anywhere it’s like concrete. I’m always hoping it’s helping and not making a giant clog somewhere! Sometimes I put it in the compost.
I have not had a clog from sourdough and that goes back to 1983

For baking sourdough bread... I do not have a Dutch oven. I just got a pizza stone; can I use that and cover the loaf with aluminum foil? I don't think I have a pan that is 450-500 degree oven-worthy.

My neighbor goes to a lot of estate sales. She's on the look out for a Dutch oven for me. If she doesn't find one by Christmas, I'll pony up the $$$ and get myself one.

I have one from costco. It is a porcelain over cast iron Dutch oven.

Make sure that the knob on the lid can go up to 450F

Thanks but I really don't feel like doing anything. ❤️
