I have one here the same.. Moose is 9 going on 10 right front leg has arthritis to help it along. Problem is tell a dog to take it easy with two younger dogs..
I do not give painkiller or aspirin as pain is the best way to slow them down a bit.

Yes and the water in the rivers and creeks was orange.

The rivers and creeks were on the darker side towards black from the coal dust.

That is very interesting, as I never saw that color in the water.

The coal mines in the area where I lived had methane gas (very deadly).

When and where did you live there?
