I'm praying 🙏 this loaf turns out okay.

I've been a bit of the mad scientist this time...
I used wholemeal white ,spelt honey, salt beaton egg white olive oil water and put a good bit of flax seeds into it. It's proofing now.

Well we have to experiment don't we

Would gas mark 6 be ok? I've had an awful time with temperatures. I must get a thermometer
Answer: Gas mark 5

The biggest problem is I baked my loaf in this grease proof paper and the side of the bread stuck to it. So I sample tasted it and it is fine.
Of course I won't cut it yet so I don't know how well it has really turned out.

Happy with the rise :)

Hi! :frow
I bake (and lurk). Just made this this afternoon. https://butterwithasideofbread.com/cherry-nut-bread/
My husband got some dried cherries that are delicious by themselves. I thought about making some cookies with them, but decided to make this cherry nut bread.
I used pecans and made a brown sugar cinnamon topping. It turned out a bit more dense than what the bread in the blog looks like, but that's because I used some freshly made yogurt in place of milk.

Sprinkle corn meal or flour on the paper first next time.

Gas Mark 6 is 400F so it should work well for that type of bread. You would get a darker crust at that temp.
