We have sandburs here when the soil is poor in quality. Sandburs only grow in sour/acidic soils. If you add lime to the soil that'll sweeten the soil enough to eliminate the sandburs. We don't have goathead weed here. A friend an hour south has sandburs.

You don't go barefoot in her yard, for sure. It's a given that she'll be picking them out of her dog's paws.

The dough was forgiving! That Silician pizza was SO good. Toaster oven for a couple minutes to get that delicious, toasty bottom after refrigerating. So easy too! Its the time to rise that makes the pizza a commitment. I dont think i will ever buy a frozen pizza again. Lord knows the cost of a frozen pizza has me certainly considering other options. Giving up pizza is NOT an option.Wasnt sure if i would go at it again today with the yeast, but, here i am waiting for my dough to rise, again! This time, its silician pizza. I love working with yeast. It amazes me that it is alive and will respond. I often talk to my dough..... I am outwardly pleased when i see Happy rising dough! Today I happen to have my food dehydrator on, so, thats where the dough shall rise. I'll give it a solid hour at least. This is my third time making this pizza crust and guess what? I forgot to add the olive oil!!! I noticed the mistake about 3 minutes after setting the dough to rise. I went ahead and fingered in the 3 Tablespoons after the fact..... We shall see! My first attempt at this recipe, i added x2 the required water!!! After 1 hour, i noticed a flat, watery, not risen dough! i started adding tablespoon amounts of flour until it looked a better texture. To my surprise, It rose, and when it came out of the oven, it was soooo tall. It was still tasty, but SO thick without the nice airpockets that Silician pizza has. And now today, leaving out the EVOO!!! my goodness! lol![]()
I have knot weed and its invasive, and, well, I have never really felt hate the way I do trying to manage the knotweed. It might as well try to bite me cause thats how it feels trying to manage it.Pretty bad when the plants bite you!
