Any Home Bakers Here?

Someone offered me 4 Turkey eggs. Never liked Duck Eggs.
What are Turkey eggs good for?????? Do you use or like them?
They are excellent if scrambled and even better for baking or custards.

My experience with larger eggs, turkey, duck and especially goose is to not try to cook them the same way you would a chicken egg. It takes so much longer to get the bigger yolks to the right temperature that the white ends up over cooked. Scrambling eliminates that problem. The bigger yolks make for really good custards.

R2elk......THANKS I WILL TAKE THEM AND TRY THEM. Thank you again.

Needed some corn bread to accompany our dinner today. I did look up recipe,, @pennyJo1960 posted, but turned out,,, no corn flour left..:(. So,,,,,,,,,,,, I had to resort to slight cheating:oops:
Better to cheat a little,,,, than to LIE a LOT.:old
So took out this mix,,, and made it.
No recipe involved, except add what calls for on back of box. 1 Egg, and milk.
Still like to post play by play. So it shows I did not run out to the bakery,,, and purchased.

The church had an abundance of pizza crust mix that needed to get used up. I prefer my own pizza dough, but I did use a mix (of 12) for garlic sticks and a mix for cinnamon sticks. After brushing the dough with butter, I used garlic powder and Parmesan for the one, and cinnamon sugar for the other.

What is everyone baking today?

I’m making Szechuan beef.

Recipe:

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/20095/szechuan-beef/

It’s not the best recipe, not much flavor. I’m currently trying to find a better one.
Instead of looking for a new recipe, try modifying the one you are using. If it is bland try adding a little salt to unlock the other flavors. You don't want to add enough to make it taste salty. Add a little, then do a taste test.

I think I’ll try that. Thank you.
