Any Home Bakers Here?

Could you clarify the underlined part? 1/4 cup of what?
The whole amount of flour you are adding is 1/2 cup. 1/4 cup is to stir and 1/4 cup
FLOUR is to put on top after stir. SORRY. It is the ration I always use when I feed
my Sourdough Starter. In fact after I have removed the SDS from my original
Jar of SDS I ALWAYS FEED THE JAR 1/2 cup of flour 1/4 cup of water.

I NEVER want to loose the FANTASTIC STRONG SDS....sent to me by Ron. It
is the BEST. Named Genesis 2....because the first one he sent me that was 7
years old....I lost during my house fire. Genesis 2 is SUPER STRONG. I do
bake Sourdough Breads once a week. Aria

Recipe. Easy No Knead Sourdough Bread
2 cups warm water. l cup SDS. 5 1/2 cups flour,whole grain or any combination of
flours. l teaspon instant yeast. 1 teaspoon diastatic barley malt. 2 teaspoons salt
Mix in. large bowl. cover with plastic and let stand over night.
In the morning scrape the dough off the sides of the bowl with floured hands form
into a dough by sgtretching the top side and roughly folding the dough underneath., Gently flour the dough. Score the top. I use my Sasaffras Dutch oven lined with parchment. Place the shaped dough in...lid on..Place in a COLD
Oven...Oven on 425 degrees for 40 minutes....Remove Lid...and bake for another
20 minutes or util the crust is nicely browned. Carefully lift the bread out of the
Dutch Oven...and let cool on a wire rack. NOTE. you can use 1 tsp sugar instead
of diastatic malt.

Don't know why...but it worked
 
Ron, It works like a Charm. SUPER. I now have 2 Jars in the Refrigerator....since
I bake Sourdough All the Bakes. LOVE IT. Ron, I have not been able to post photos....and that is why I sent my latest Sourdough Bake to you. It seems most
of My Multigrains come the Same....But also bake one in a Sasafrass Dutch Oven..
which is different. Do you mind posting? Aria
