Ahoy!

It be international talk like a pirate day!

Shiver me timbers, I need to check on me sourdough starter.
Ahoy, Jared a Gal I met from Germany gave me a tip on how to "forget and use"
the Sourdough Starter. Mix 1/4 cup or 3 T sourdough starter....and about 1/4 cup stir with
fork in the jar...and then put the remainder 1/4 cup flour over. the top. Cover loosley and place in refrigerator. The night before you want to bake....add 1/4 c
warm water and stir....leave on counter...ready to bake in the Morning. Aria

Interesting. I’ll have to try that next time I bake with the starter.

How have you been doing, by the way? I don’t think I’ve heard from you in a while. I could be wrong and I could’ve just missed your posts.

This is off-topic, but I wanted to show you all this. I think I posted this a while ago, but I was able to update it yesterday to make it look better.

It’s a solar system family portrait.

I just need a better picture of Mercury now.

Also, my friend from Japan caught more fish than me yesterday.

She caught this.

I taught her how to process it and cook it.

Anyway, I am rambling. As soon as I run out of sourdough bread, I’m gonna cook some more. I am really enjoying cooking sourdough.

Ron, It works like a Charm. SUPER. I now have 2 Jars in the Refrigerator....since
I bake Sourdough All the Bakes. LOVE IT. Ron, I have not been able to post photos....and that is why I sent my latest Sourdough Bake to you. It seems most
of My Multigrains come the Same....But also bake one in a Sasafrass Dutch Oven..
which is different. Do you mind posting? Aria

I'm making some GF bread in the machine today. I should have picked a day when we didn't have any other cooking projects. It's half way through the bake cycle, so I looked in... and it has fallen. It might be 2-3" tall now.

Oh well. It will get eaten. I'll use this as an excuse to put cherry jam on it.
Sally, It may have Proofed too long. It happens to all of us. Most time mine over
proof and before I put in oven...I punch down (treat it like a rise) and reshape.
And let it rise and WATCH. I do notice the extra rise time ...is not the best rise.
But its probably the best we can do.

Could you clarify the underlined part? 1/4 cup of what?
