Any Home Bakers Here?

Good afternoon everyone.

I have an update on the car repair situation.

I was FINALLY able to take the crankshaft pulley off today, so now I can access the full timing belt mechanism.

This means that tomorrow I can work on replacing the water pump, then on Tuesday when the rest of the timing belt kit comes, I can work on the rest of it and probably be done by Wednesday or Thursday.

I actually talked to my friend who is a mechanic today. He said there may be more hope for this car than other cars who had lost timing belts. The reason for this was when the car broke down I was going 10 to 15 mph. School zone.

Because of this, he suspects that it’s more hopeful that there is no significant engine damage.

We will see when I put it back together.

I used @cavemanrich's method for making croutons today. I used a loaf of one of my early batches of sourdough that I wasn't crazy about, that has been in the freezer. After toasting it in the skillet with butter (ghee, actually), I seasoned it with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Then I baked it at 200°F for 20 minutes. It's quite tasty.

Hubby is cooking chicken marinated with habaneros. I can feel it in my throat and eyes!

I'm going to have home fries made with home grown purple potatoes. :drool
We had purple fries from our own taters too! :highfive: I grilled a t bone though, no habaneros were harmed!

Guess who’s got bronchitis.

As a result, I won’t be able to do much baking right now. I also won’t be able to work on my car for a little bit.
I hope you are better soon!
